The well-signposted Vitalwelt cycle path network stretches over 300 kilometers in the landscape so typical of the Hausruck with rolling hills and well-kept natural areas.
Whether during the blossoming of the trees in spring or on sunny days in late autumn: between the Trattnachtal cycle path in the north and the Innbachtal cycle path in the south, seven varied connecting routes provide individual route options almost all year round.
On our cycle tours you cycle past wonderful landscapes and impressive sights and excursion destinations. The cycle tours are between 22 and 86 km long and take you on a circular route on the cycle path network through the Vitalwelt. They score points with short climbs, wonderful views and numerous cider taverns and inns typical of the region.
E-bike rental
From March 14, 2024, e-bikes can be rented again in the Vitalwelt. You can find the prices here.
"Haager Lies" reloaded - The cycling and hiking paradise for everyone!
The "Haager Lies Cycle Path", which opened in 2022, runs along the former railway line from Haag am Hausruck to Neukirchen near Lambach.
The 22 kilometers include creatively designed rest areas by regional artists, information boards about the disused "Haager Lies" - lovingly named by the local population - playgrounds, e-bike charging stations and, of course, many gastronomic highlights.
Due to the low gradient, the cycle path is barrier-free and ideal for beginners and families. Cyclists can continue cycling on the Antiesen cycle path to the Inn cycle path, via the Trattnachtal cycle path to the Danube cycle path and via the Traun cycle path to the Roman cycle path.
At the Luisenhöhe adventure mountain in Haag am Hausruck you will find several great offers. From the Luisenhöhe you go right through the Hausruck forest and over green meadows to the valley - guaranteed to be great fun for the whole family.
Up high and panoramic views
The Luisenhöhe OBSERVATION TOWER in Haag, in the middle of the Hausruck forest, is the last stop on the Path of the Senses. The wooden tower is 32 meters high and on clear days offers a magnificent view in all directions - a wonderful panorama. Look forward to the wonderful panoramic view from the Ötscher in Lower Austria over the Dachstein to the Untersberg in Salzburg and from the Innviertel over the Bohemian Forest to the central area of Upper Austria.
Look into the country
The COUNTRY VIEW offers visitors a fascinating view of Haag and Hausrucklandl. The wooden, barrier-free viewing platform measuring 20 m2 can be found at the end of the Path of the Senses. Those interested in nature will find descriptions of the different types of trees and woods here.
Space for running and romping
Exercising in the fresh air is what makes a FOREST PLAYGROUND so appealing. There is plenty of play equipment and space to run and romp around while the adults can spend some time relaxing at the adjacent forest tavern. An afternoon full of adventure is guaranteed.
A brand new addition awaits you: our FLYING CIRCUS course, which consists of 17 exciting elements up to 18 meters high, accessible from the age of 11, for even more adventures in and on the trees.
There are seven courses of varying difficulty that we have built on our beloved mighty beech trees in a "tree-friendly" way - without drilling - at a height of 4 to 20 meters. After completing each course, you glide back to the ground on a zip line. Allow yourself up to 3 hours to explore the entire facility. Here you can climb, swing, balance, roll, sled, skysurf with our boards, rest high up on the "bench for two" and fly through the beautiful Hausruck forest on the flying foxes. You can reach us by walking along the "Path of the Senses".
In short - if you are looking for adventure, you are guaranteed to find it in the "goruck" forest high ropes course.
With the "magic carpet" installed, golfers will be able to experience a wonderful upward trend at the Maria Theresia golf course. The climb from the green of the seventh fairway to the tee of hole 8, which green fee players and members alike fear, has been taken away. You glide up the magic carpet easily and without effort, saving energy and concentration for a successful score. This means that the Maria Theresia Haag/H. golf club in the heart of the Hausruckviertel has a new attraction and a new draw in addition to its spectacular tee on hole 1.
The wonderful 18-hole course is located in the heart of the Hausruckviertel. Like no other course, the course blends into the slopes of the Hausruckwald and offers pure golfing pleasure for every player. Challenging greens are well defended and demand the best game from every golf enthusiast. The 12th hole remains a spectacular challenge and at 577 meters is still one of the longest par 5 holes in Austria.
In addition to the wonderful 18-hole course, the golf restaurant offers delicacies from the regional cuisine, which are best enjoyed on the spacious sun terrace together with an incomparable view of Upper Austria. The unique panorama stretches from the Bohemian Forest to Linz to the Grosser Priel, inviting you to return often.
The Hague Local History Museum is located in the picturesque Starhemberg Castle above Haag am Hausruck.
Exhibits from the former brown coal mining industry, rural life with tools of extinct craftsmen, as well as the history of the area and the life of the farmers at that time are on display here. And you can even learn a lot about the time of the Peasants' War and about Emperor Napoleon.
The museum also offers a special exhibition that changes every year. Children, but also adults, are particularly enthusiastic about the detailed recreated rooms in the spacious miniature exhibition.

Swimming lake Geboltskirchen-Weibern
The approximately three-hectare lake, which was built with the flood retention basin, attracts bathers from near and far in summer. There are lawns around the water and at the western end of the lake there is a shallow part for children and non-swimmers, which is covered with a layer of sand. You can get into the water via two large footbridges. The swimming raft in the middle of the lake is particularly popular.
The swimming lake also attracts fishermen and, when it is frozen over in winter, invites you to go ice skating and curling.
